10 Underrated Cards in TMNT

10 Underrated Cards in TMNT

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles MTG set (March 2026) dropped with a ton of hype around big names like Krang and Super Shredder which seems to be the only cards holding market value above $20.00. Quite honestly this set itself I am greatly surprised with how much has fallen below the $5.00 market. Granted this is all fueled by supply and demand and not many that I know play Mutants, Ninjas, or even Turtles outside of this set.

However, that does not mean there isn't anything worthwhile in the set itself. With a number of different directions to go from a "5 color Hydra" deck, to a Token Swarm, or Voltron or merely an Metalic Artifact madhouse. There is a number of underrated cards to choose from.

The real value is hiding in the shadows.

With 300+ cards and new mechanics like Mutagen tokens, Sneak, and Disappear (loosely), the meta is still developing—which means some cards are already overperforming without getting attention.

These are the quiet winners you should be watching (or buying) right now.

1. Ravenous Robots.

Ravenous Robots is a must have for any artifact deck. I have played these robotic rodents on MTG Arena and it can easily turn into a nasty swarm. Pairing this card with others such as Doubling Season, or Pactdoll Terror for example can easily make this a threat. Or if you really want to play dirty, toss in a little affinity for artifacts and lay your whole hand down.

2. Splinter’s Technique

Another I'm surprised hasn't spiked so high which is currently sitting under $5.00. This card is a nerfed Demonic Tutor and one I'm guilty of hoarding just enough of them for the multi color decks I have that include black. The drawback to this is that you have to "sacrifice" a creature by returning it to your hand, but could also be a nasty combo with Ravenous Robots by returning another artifact creature to your hand you'll not only get to search your deck for any card, but also get a second artifact ETB.

3. Ninja Teen

This young lady is sitting at a low $3.00 as of this article, that's a good thing because most teenagers are expensive!

Ninja Teen is a great fit for any black running deck, especially if your low on graveyard returns. Not only can you pull that Ravenous Robot back into play that your opponent destroyed, you can return another creature to your hand for another ETB for another spread of robotic vermin or any other triggers you might have. Spread the tokens = spreading the love.

4. Return to the Sewers

This one may only a few cents, but the great value of this four mana drop is you can not only return your opponent's creature to their library,
but you can target your own creature too. Did someone say "more robots"?

This card can trigger a number of ETB/LTB combos when paired with cards like Rat King, Super Shredder,

5. Sewer-veillance Cam

We have already talked about this card HERE, but it is still worth mentioning considering it has made its second week of being one of the top sellers on TCGplayer.

6. Foot Ninjas

Foot Ninjas don't really seem like that great of a card at fist glance and it's certainly not a top tier choice. However, as I look through the cards of TMNT I'm finding a nice handful of synergy.

Teleportation Circle for example, the TMNT full art is going for about $4.00 right now, while alternate versions are sitting around $10.00+. Pair these two cards together and you can ensure you gain life every single turn.

Haliya Guided by Light is a nice addition to the combo. Not only will you gain 3 life, but a 2nd card draw as well.

7. Mutagen Man, Living Ooze

Currently sitting around $3.00 Mutagen Man is one card I regret taking out of my TMNT precon and having a hard time deciding what to cut to add him back in.

After seeing him in action this is certainly one card you want to keep in your deck. Not only is he creating X mutagen tokens but also allowing you to sacrifice them for free. This allows you to spend your mana on others such as Mechanized Production which will win you the game on your next turn!

8. Donatello, Way with Machines

Now it might just be my own affinity for artifacts, but the Donatello cards are some of my favorites of the set. He may not look like much more than a free spirited teenager but when you pair him up in the right deck, he can easily become a mean green machine. Pair Donatello with Animation Module and Ashnods Altar and you can turn him into an infinite combo teenage turtle all grown up and ready to stompy stompy.

9. Mouser Foundry

Don't let his size fool you. I have been staring him down trying to decide what I could do with him until I realized he can win the game. Paired up with Chrome Dome, Krark Clan Ironworks will give you infinite ETB/LTB, but toss in a Pactdoll Terror and you added some additional flavor for an infinite damage/lifegain.

10. Mechanized Ninja Cavalry

Just like our little mouse, this Robo Ninja can be just as terrifying, if not worse. Not only can you pull infinite by adding Ashnods Altar and Nim Deathmantle, but his own ETB ability will quickly turn into a massive swarm of Mousers.

Right now, the MTG community is focused on Big name characters such as Krang and Shredder and other high value mythics which leaves the Engines and budget staples completely overlooked. These are the cards you want to look for to get ahead of the game and become the next Master of The Game

Final Thoughts

The TMNT set is still in its early meta phase: Decks aren’t optimized, players are still experimenting and prices haven’t caught up. This is exactly when the underrated underdogs matter most. By the time everyone is talking about them...

The next big thing is a week a way and You're already too late.
